How to avoid typing your email address twice when registering online

There are many websites that require you to register as a user before you can access content.  They normally require your email address, and you can’t complete your registration until you have validated your email address.

Many of these sites now require you to enter your email address twice.  This is because (suprisingly) people make mistakes when entering their own email address.

But if you are like me, you don’t like having to do extra work just because someone else can’t type properly.  The obvious solution is to type your email address, then cut and paste it into the second box.  Trouble is that a lot of websites now prevent you pasting into the confirmation address field.

So the answer to this problem is this.  Type your email address into the confirmation box first, then cut an paste it into the first email address field.  As of now, I have never found an web site that does not allow you to paste into the first address field.
